Wizardry of Words

Wizardry of Words - Poetry  Spoken Here: We reach out specifically to “All Children Filled with Desire or Despair” and hope to invoke meaning in the beauty which surrounds them. This is part of the Benefit for Springfield-Green County Library Foundation!

This poetry contest is separated into 3 divisions each will win:
  • Elementary: 1st: $15., 2nd: $10., 3rd: $5.
  • Middle: 1st: $30., 2nd: $15., 3rd:  $10.
  • High School: 1st: $70.  2nd: $30., 3rd: $15.
Encourage your students to apply for the “Wizardry of Words” Student Poetry Contest.  To help as many children apply as possible, we ask only that each school contribute a $20 registration fee, which will cover every student that applies from that school and is an administration fee only!  This is a remarkable benefit to aspiring poets and authors!

Why not help your students to apply today to Wizardry of Words which encourages your students to excel. 

All you have to do is print off and fill out the attached entry applications due date is...  Rescheduling soon... with the students poetry submission. I’ve attached an entry form.  The winners will be announced prior to the Character Ball but they will receive their award there at the Ball, although they do not need to be present, we hope they could come.

Chateau Charmant is a perfect example of the old adage “Few things come to him who wishes; all things come to him who works!” We want your students to experience the value of working and accomplishing their dreams!

Quite truthfully, Poetry is not for everyone, and yet its beauty enlightens hearts, radiates hope to those who listen, read, and ponder its unique beauty.  We at Chateau Charmant want to celebrate National Poetry month… April… during our Great Imposter Ball. And we want to share it with every student in the state! So, we are sponsoring a Poetry Contest, Wizardry of Words” for Elementary, Middle and High School students.

Not every student who applies for it will win…

However, because we believe your students will benefit from this opportunity, I’ve enclosed a special invitation for you to apply to one of the most prestigious new Student Poetry Contests available in Missouri.
