Castle Guardian

Valentines Snow
Picture
Britt started a great blog spot which is more for the building of the castle.

This blog shall remain more of an inspirational panel where we can share uplifting thoughts which bring hearts together.  Thus named the Castle Guardian.  With it we will share the etiquette of being engaged and what comes after that.

But if you want to get tips on building, acid staining etc go to http://charmingcastle.blogspot.com/

Isn't the snow magical.

Taken today.

Remember as a Bride "perfect" only describes the fairy tale dream you want.  Creating it will be full of trials.  So, take them with a light heart and a desire to see the humor in every situation.  They will be the memories you have when you are old. Ones you will either laugh or cry about with your grandchildren.  Decide now what you want your heritage to be.

Plaster shell motif

While searching for ideas on how to make my shells I came across http://www.ehow.com/how_4464284_make-plaster-molds.html, which gave me an idea on how to make the shells and other motifs to decorate the office.  I'm certain if you're creative you'll find it interesting also. I liked the idea about the Vaseline, I've used cooking oil before as a release, but  the Vaseline is a thicker viscosity and it should release the details even better. I'll let you know, Freezing today and so slippery be safe.

Plan Day

There are things each of us must do, sometimes not knowing the reason beforehand, just knowing that in doing so we will grow.  This is one of those things.  Too cold to work on the castle. So it is a plan day.  Researching how to connect my merchandise center and also, (more importantly) how to make the plaster shells and motifs I want to decorate different rooms in the castle with.   I'm so grateful we still have power.

Morning has always been my time.  Up, awake and ready for whatever the day has in store. It's Bob's birthday, I sang Happy Happy Birthday to him as he tugged on his pants.  His grin was from ear to ear.  In all our hectic schedules of life, it's good to remember, relationships are the true joy of existence. Making someone else smile brings joy to your heart and a smile to your face.

Snow & Cozy on the Computer

Bob & Britt have been real troopers trekking up the snow laden hill to the castle to work,  Britt sealed the floors again, and I have no idea what Bob is up to.  I'm on the learning curve for computer dummies.  I spent 4 hours trying to find my way back to the google settings page!  Aw the slow learning curve after 60.I must go now to fix dinner for the family.  Hopefully I'll work at the castle tomorrow.
