Love of Duty+

Just watching
Picture
A mothers duty is continual vigilance as she watches her toddler to make certain all is well.  Such was this Mom at Kari & Chad's wedding. I snapped this photo thinking how beautiful a mother is, just doing her job.

Okay, it may not be politically correct to say, but the job of a mother brings the most pleasure of any job I've ever had.  So for all of you young couples starting your lives together, remember the blessings of family.

Had I to do it over again, I wouldn't work out of the home.  But this is not always a choice, and so spend all the time you can teaching, nurturing and showing them the right way to live and work.  Thus, they will grow into productive members of society and you can sit back as they bless you with the path they have chosen to take.

One of the greatest men of the 19th century once said "I teach them correct principals, and then let them govern themselves"  So should we.

Commandments of Love

What more can be said?
Picture
We work daily, sometimes with more energy and enthusiasm than at other times.  But little by little we see the accumulated efforts of out labors.

It is just so with a marriage as well.  Each day we add to the sum whole of what we want that prized relationship to look like as we glance back thru years of toiling together.  Is it the beautiful dream our hearts yearned for when newly married?

Dear Abby revisits the commandments for love, I'd like to list them here.

1. Put your spouse before you mother, your father, your son and your daughter _ you mate is your lifelong companion
2. Do not abuse your body with excessive food, tobacco, drink or any foreign substance that goes into your arm or up you nose.
3. Remember Cleanliness is a Virtue
4. Willingly share all your worldly goods with your mate.
5. Do not forget to say, "I love you." Even though your love may be constant, your spouse needs to hear those cherished words often.
6. Remember that approval of your spouse is worth far more than the adoring glances of a hundred strangers, so be true to him or her.
7. Permit neither you business nor your hobby to make you a stranger to your spouse.  The most precious gift you can give is time.
8. Keep your home in good repair, because out of it come the joys of old age (not to mention its resale value).
9. Forgive with grace, because who among us doesn't not need to be forgiven?
10.Honor the Lord your God every day of your life, and your children will grow up to bless you.

Summer Sizzle

Amazing how a little sun, create such a heat wave.  But it hasn't stopped work on the caste and neither should it stop your devotion to working on your relationship.  Whether hot or cold there is always time to take a few minutes to listen, show concern and truly care.  In daily life it's easy to be annoyed when you need something attended to but your loved one has no time. It is at those time that we must remember each seed we sow can bring forth disaster if not cared for, or beauty if tended properly...

Garden your love with care.

What makes a master gardener win prizes over and over again for spectacular roses... it is his diligence to detail, and continually weeding, even in the heat of the day.  Most likely he has learned to do it though before it gets hot, as should we.

It Must Be Love, Analisa & Kenny

Analisa & Kenny playful, romantic, perfectly suited to care for one another.  This sweet bride and groom wed, partied and spent a night in the Queens tower in the "La Reine" suite.

Although the rain moved the outdoor ceremony to in, they showed their ease at dealing with the problems that life brings, as they seamlessly transitioned into the chapel.

What a joy to get to know this lovely couple and hope that they will return often to visit the castle and the place of their vows..

Heavenly Megan & Caleb

Megan & Caleb were radiant June 4th. They both looked like Royalty as they said their vows below arching trees draped with crystals and twinkling candle lights.

What a joy to see each bride commit their life and love to one man.  To make a lasting family through joy and tears.  Each time they rush down the aisle from the ceremony, the joy filling their eyes, I am filled with equal joy and remember my own wedding.  The butterflies that filled my stomach each time I saw Bob reminds me now of what these young brides are feeling towards their loved one.

I wish them always patience and happiness as they create their family together

Dinners at the castle will soon be available, as we work to improve the quality and service to guests of the castle.

Our town is sponsoring it's first annual Fordland Auto Show June 18 from 10 to 2.  At the City Park on HWY PP. To support our towns desire to renovate and improve, Chateau Charmant offers any who've visited the Auto Show a ticket reduction from $7.50  to  $5. per person for a tour of the castle.  If Chef Roland returns soon from France we may include a delicious candle lite dinner at the castle as well for an additional fee... Will keep you posted.

Our 1st Medieval Murder Mystery Dinner theater was a great success! Players from the Starlite Entertainment & DJ mesmerized the guest as they interacted in a fun game of "Who Dun It".  Castle guests danced a simple Elizabethan with the court players.  Dinner was serve by Argentina Steak House.  Tours were given before and after the production.  A fun time was had by all,

Ozark Royal Wedding
Picture
Galileo pointed out " all truths are easy to understand once they are discovered, the point is to discover them."   Are we looking for those things that will make the most difference for true success in our lives?

If not, time slips away....  Although I've wanted to keep my blog updated,  work and a crashed computer have kept me busy.

We are finally started with 3 Proms and a wedding under our belt.  KOLR 10  came out and shot a wonderful spot about the castle. To let the Ozarks know we too have a Royal place for weddings and events... See what they say about us.  .http://ozarksfirst.com/fulltext?nxd_id=446307&watch=1

Childhood Dreams

"The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight.
But they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night."

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

And so it is with any who want to attain that dream of childhood.  Success comes in perpetually working , step by step, to create that perfect dream.  There is nothing that is worthwhile which does not take work,  even Love.

Keep that dream alive by nourishing it with tender words of care, special meals served with joy and sweet unexpected dates.
